On Friday 24th April at Henley Masonic Centre, things were anything but quiet… Our very own RTTV Worshipful Master, Dave MacDonald, added yet another string to his bow by being installed as Master of the Master Mark Masons. No pressure, Dave—just running two shows now!
The lodge was delighted to welcome the Deputy Provincial Grand Master, alongside a strong turnout from the Oxfordshire Provincial team. Safe to say, the room had a bit of star power that evening.
Proceedings kicked off with the Royal Ark Mariner Lodge, setting the tone before handing over the reins to the Mark Master Masons for the main event. With the formalities in full swing, the newly installed Worshipful Master wasted no time in appointing and investing his officers for the year ahead—because what’s leadership without a solid team?

Once the gavels were down and the aprons slightly loosened, attention turned to what might arguably be everyone’s favourite part of the evening—a proper festive board. Good food, good company, and even better spirits (the sociable kind… mostly).
The generosity in the room didn’t go unnoticed either. Through raffle ticket sales and contributions from the ever-supportive brethren, a fantastic £300 was raised for the Royal Ark Mariners and Master Mark Masons charity funds. Not bad for a night’s work!
Looking ahead, our next RTTV meeting takes place in May before we all take a well-earned summer break. So, one more gathering before we swap lodge rooms for sunnier pursuits.
